OakTec has recently completed a significant research project, funded by Innovate UK under the Energy Catalyst programme, investigating the performance and efficiency of the Pulse-R engine using impure bio-gas produced by Anaerobic Digestion from agricultural waste.
The project benchmarked the engine against the market-leading small diesel engine design and compared bio-gas performance with CNG and LPG.
The project output is a new design of Pulse-R engine that is now being installed for testing in a 7kVA multi-gas generator.
